• Results ready in just 5 - 7 days from receipt of sample in the laboratory
• Results are sent directly to your referring doctor
• You can take your sample in the privacy of your home
• Free genetic counselling is offered if you are found to be a carrier of CF
• If we find that you are a carrier of CF, we liaise with your doctor to offer testing to determine your partner's carrier status for CF and your partner's test is free
• A central number that you can call a qualified genetic counsellor if you have any questions
• If you and your partner are both found to be carriers:
  • genetic counselling is provided to discus all of your options
